There is no direct way to update the mobile number in your Aadhaar card online, you have to visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. However, you can book an appointment for your visit online. Here’s the step-by-step guide on how to change the mobile number on your Aadhaar card.
- First, visit the official UIDAI website or you can click here.
- Once there, select your preferred language to be redirected to the homepage.
- Now, click on ‘Get Aadhaar’ and select ‘Book Appointment.’
- You will need to enter your city name to proceed with booking an appointment.
- Now, provide your mobile number along with a captcha code. To proceed with the update process, select ‘Mobile Number Update’ which is placed ‘Choose the Service’.
- You will need to provide specific details such as your name, your UID number, and other relevant information like your city. These details are necessary for verifying and processing your request.
- Next, choose a convenient date and time for your appointment at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. After selecting these preferences, submit the form. This ensures that you have a scheduled slot for updating your mobile number.
- Upon submitting the form, you’ll be directed to a payment page where a fee of Rs 50 is required. Completing this payment is mandatory for processing the update request. Alternatively, you can pay this amount at Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Once paid, you will receive an acknowledgement slip.
- Then you have to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra and complete your Biometric verification. Then they will give an acknowledgement slip containing an Update Request Number (URN). This URN is vital as it allows you to track the status of your mobile number update request through the UIDAI system and it may take 90 days.
