The new Nubia Music 2 has three full-range speakers and a 2.1-channel music system, according to the phoneโs official website. Additionally, according to ZTE, the phoneโs DTS:X Ultra configuration has a 95dB maximum volume rating. Additionally, the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack connector and spatial audio capabilities, which are quite uncommon in contemporary phones.
Regarding the 3.5mm audio jack, this phone is the replacement for the Nubia Music, which had two 3.5mm headphone jacks. ZTE apparently felt that this was more of a gimmick than a new feature, and as a result, the sequel only has one 3.5mm audio jack.
It should come as no surprise that this low-cost smartphone has a low-performance Unisoc T7200 processor (also called a Unisoc T606), 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.
Positively, the Music 2 has a respectable 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W cable charging. The inexpensive smartphone features a sizable 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ quality and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is rather typical for low-cost phones.
A 50-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary selfie camera are included with the Nubia Music 2. The phoneโs Bluetooth 5.2, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, VoLTE compatibility, NFC (Near Field Communications), and Wi-Fi are additional features.
Nubia Music 2 runs on โAndroid U,โ which is most likely the codename for Android 14, according to ZTEโs official website. Itโs difficult to predict if this phone will be updated to Android 15, but given how inexpensive it is, it probably doesnโt make much difference.
At the moment, Nubia Music 2 costs $85 or โฌ75 to buy in Malaysia (via the Shopee and Lazada online retailers). Melody Wave and Pop Art are the two colour options available for the reasonably priced music phone.
